Thomas Maxwell will return to the Dunlop Series fold in 2024, with the Darwin native to race a MW Motorsport Nissan Altima.

Maxwell will race the #3 Spitwater Altima from this weekend’s Thrifty Bathurst 500, which opens the 2024 Dunlop Series.

The 25-year-old is one of two Super3 runners in 2024, alongside debutant Cody Burcher.

However, Maxwell is determined to make his mark in the development series, having last raced a Supercar in 2022.

“Stoked to be back in a the Dunlop Series teaming up with Matt White again,” Maxwell said.

ThomasMaxwell Stills00385316“I love these cars and the characteristics they have. I’ve got some amazing support in Spitwater that I’m as proud as ever to represent.

“Keen to show everyone what these Nissans are capable of achieving.”

He raced with MW Motorsport in 2022, and finished seventh overall in a season that included a maiden top three finish in Sydney, and pole at Sandown.

Maxwell shifted to Porsche Carrera Cup in 2023, and finished 14th overall after missing the final round in Adelaide due to damage sustained in the penultimate round on the Gold Coast.

He again links up with long-time partner Spitwater, which was excited to back Maxwell’s return: “Spitwater are very excited to be backing Thomas again in 2024 as he pursues his motor racing dream in the Spitwater Nissan Supercar.

“We are proud to be associated with TMAX, and how we share the same values striving for the best with integrity.”
