MW Motorsport is pleased to welcome R & J Batteries to its team of backers for the remaining rounds of the Dunlop Super2 Series, starting at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, this week.
R & J Batteries will adorn the doors of emerging racer Tyler Everingham’s #27 MWM Nissan Altima in deal that will see the all-Australian company on the car for the high-profile events at Bathurst, Sandown and Newcastle.
R & J Batteries is one of Australia’s largest battery and oil distributors and is 100 percent Australian owned.
Everingham, 18, made the jump to Super2 this year after winning the Super3 Series with MW Motorsport last year. He currently sits 14th in the series.
This event will mark Everingham’s first race at Bathurst in a Supercar, but he has already tasted the mountain in a V8 powered car. He raced a MARC Cars Mazda at the Bathurst 12 Hour, finishing second in class alongside Supercars racer Garry Jacobson and TV personality Grant Denyer.
MW Motorsport field three cars in the Super2 Series, with Bryce Fullwood currently leading the standings from fellow MWM driver Zane Goddard.
Practice and qualifying will be held on Thursday and Friday, followed by Saturday’s all-important 41 lap, 250km endurance race.
