Mackay’s up-and-coming V8 Supercars Dunlop Series driver Morgan Haber is set to take on his home event at the Castrol Townsville 500 in July with trackside support from the ‘Haber Hairpin Club.’
V8 Supercars have renamed one of the largest corporate hospitality suites at the Reid Park venue to incorporate the Haber family name and show support for the Dunlop Series’ only fulltime driver from North Queensland.
The Haber Hairpin Club is set to be a haven for passionate North Queensland supporters who want to get behind the Mackay driver as he challenges the extremely competitive development grid.
Situated in prime position at Turn 11 the Haber Hairpin Club caters for large group bookings as well as accommodating smaller groups and individuals and is sure to provide guests with plenty of high octane on track action.
Guests to the Haber Hairpin Club will receive a 3 day corporate hospitality pass for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, catering, complimentary beer, wine, soft drinks and other refreshments, big screen televisions, a dedicated host with reserved and managed table seating and complimentary event programs.
Haber will also be a regular face in the suite appearing for several interviews and meet and greet opportunities with guests. The young driver said it was an exciting opportunity as he heads to his home event.
“It’s always great to get out and meet the people who come along to support us in our racing careers and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to get amongst the fans in the Haber Hairpin Club and chat about all things racing”, said Haber.
“It’s really great to see the V8 Supercars promote drivers from regional centres and there are plenty of kids out there trying to break into V8’s and this move by our governing body is really encouraging.
“I always look forward to racing in Townsville, it’s usually still pretty warm up there for the time of year and I do plenty of bike training for my fitness in Mackay, so the climate is pretty similar and us Northerners like the heat!!”
