TOM MAXWELL
TOM MAXWELLCAR #3
THOMAS Maxwell will return to racing in 2022 with a Dunlop Super2 Series campaign for MW Motorsport.

The Northern Territorian was last in action in Porsche Carrera Cup in 2019 and has sat on the sidelines for the past two seasons putting a budget together for a maiden tilt at Supercars’ second-tier class.

Maxwell graduated from four years of karting to Formula Ford in 2014 and claimed fourth in the national series a year later, driving for renowned junior team Sonic Motor Racing Services.

He is one of several young Australian racers that headed overseas in the mid-2010s to pursue an open-wheel career, racing in British Formula 3 in 2016 and Formula Renault Eurocup in 2017 and 2018, finishing the latter year inside the top 10 in points behind Alpine F1 reserve driver Oscar Piastri.

Maxwell returned home for 2019 and rejoined Sonic for a season in Carrera Cup, finishing ninth in the standings with a string of top-10 race finishes that included a best of fifth at Albert Park.

Although this will be his first year racing a Supercar, it won’t be his first time behind the wheel of one: he took part in a driver evaluation day with Brad Jones Racing at the end of 2019, and quietly tested a Super2 car for Eggleston Motorsport at the end of 2020.
ANGELO MOUZOURIS
ANGELO MOUZOURISCAR #6
Mouzouris joined the Super2 field as the reigning Australian Formula Ford Series winner, a title that appears on the resumes of current Supercars stars Jamie Whincup, Will Davison, David Reynolds, Nick Percat, Chaz Mostert, Cameron Waters and Jack Le Brocq.

For this season, Mouzouris will pilot an MW Motorsport Nissan Altima for the first time.

The 20-year-old won the 2019 Australian Formula Ford Championship before competing with rival Super2 team Triple Eight during the past two seasons.

ANGELO Mouzouris switches teams for his third tilt at the Dunlop Super2 Series, joining MW Motorsport for the 2022 season.

Mouzouris’ career began with the traditional stepping stones of karts and Formula Fords, initially tackling the latter at state level before moving up to the national series.

He won the 2019 Australian Formula Ford Series, adding his name to a star-studded winners list that includes eight current full-time Supercars drivers and a handful of the category’s legends.

Mouzouris had his first taste of a Supercar in a Brad Jones Racing ZB Commodore in 2019, guided by fellow Formula Ford champion Nick Percat.

Picked up by Triple Eight for Super2 in 2020, Mouzouris faced a tough transition to tin-tops but improved throughout the three-round campaign and scored a best race finish of fifth in Sydney.

He continued with Triple Eight for his sophomore season in 2021 and began the year with a breakthrough pole position at Mount Panorama but endured a difficult season thereafter.

A tough run across the Townsville rounds was further compounded by a heavy qualifying crash that ruled him out of both races at the Bathurst finale.

TYLER EVERINGHAM
TYLER EVERINGHAMCAR #27
Tyler started Karting at just 10 years of age. Then at 15 years old he launched into Formula 4. Tyler’s rise continued when he competed in the Australian Production Car Series (2017), the Bathurst 12-hour (2018) and then his biggest break-through in 2018, the Kuhmo Tyre Australian V8 Touring Car National Series where he was crowned overall Champion.

2019 saw Tyler make his debut into the Dunlop Super 2 Series. An impressive first year, finishing the season with an overall 6th place and awarded the Mike Kable Young Gun Award.

TYLER Everingham will look to build on his strongest Dunlop Super2 Series campaign yet as he continues with MW Motorsport for the 2022 season.

The Dubbo product claimed a pair of race wins at Bathurst and Sydney Motorsport Park on the way to sixth in the standings, matching his result from his rookie 2019 season which earnt him that year’s Mike Kable Young Gun Award.

In between, Everingham though suffered a largely frustrating 2020 that started with a heavy crash in qualifying while driving a MARC II at the Bathurst 12 Hour.

Already slated to contest the Super2 season with Anderson Motorsport in an ex-Walkinshaw Holden, Everingham missed the opening round in Adelaide due to budget constraints.

He contested the second Super2 event at Sydney Motorsport Park in July but then skipped the second-tier finale at Bathurst, where he competed as a wildcard in the 1000km classic.

Everingham already has a Supercars ladder title to his name: following a career in karts and two seasons in the Australian Formula 4 Championship, he won the 2018 Super3 Series title aboard an MW Motorsport Ford.
